Katie Couric, in her "60 Minutes" debut, put the screws to Christine Todd Whitman tonight: "But with all due respect, your job as head of the EPA--the Environmental Protection Agency--is to protect people from the environment."

Actually, it's more along the lines of protecting the environment from people, Katie. But we get the idea.
