A Bright Shining Correction

The good news: Mac McCaughan's Portastatic got a nice big write-up in the Chicago Tribune on Friday in advance of Friday night's show at the Empty Bottle--which, by the way, was loud and rocking and absolutely phenomenal, but then again you knew I'd say that.

The bad news (which I mention only because I'm a fanatic): Writer Matt McGuire inexplicably and repeatedly started referring to Portastatic's new record, "Bright Ideas," as "Bright Eyes" about halfway through the piece. As Mac said to me before the show, if he'd called it "Bright Eyes," it certainly would have sold better.
